Conference Program Summary

This year's Conference featured:
  • 723 Abstracts - site still available for searching
  • Plenary Lecture by Dr. Rita Colwell, Distinguished Professor, University of Maryland College Park and Johns Hopkins University and Immediate Past Director, National Science Foundation
  • Educational Forum Keynote Address by Dr. Eugenie Scott, Executive Director, National Center for Science Education
  • Special Lecture sponsored by Annals of Botany featuring Dr. Karl Niklas, Editor-in-Chief, American Journal of Botany
A variety of Scientific Field Trips and Scientific and Educational Workshops as well as Local Tours highlighted the sights and the Botany of Salt Lake City and the Mountains.

Botany 2004 was the annual meeting of four professional scientific societies.
