Computerization of the lichen collection at the Michigan State University herbarium..

The lichen collection assembled by Henry Imshaug at Michigan State University is of international importance. The entire label data associated with these collections is currently being entering into a SPECIFY database, which will be made available on-line and be fully searchable. Some of the problems encountered with computerizing the data, and some of its projected uses are outlined.
